Airport Information

The Hyderabad International Convention Centre is approximately a 35-minute drive from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

For transportation from the airport, we suggest arranging in advance directly with your hotel.

CME Accreditation/Europe wide Accreditation

This congress will apply with its full and complete program for Continuing Medical Education (CME) within the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Institute of the UEMS.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Updated information regarding CME accreditation will be available on the Congress website.

Visas

All visitors to India require a valid VISA before entering the country. Tourists wishing to visit India are normally granted short-term tourist visas, effective from the date of issue. Tourist visas are non-extendible and non-convertible. The Embassies of India, High Commissions of India, and the Consulate Generals of India, will be happy to help you get a Visa to India.

Currency

The Indian Rupee is the national currency (INR). International Credit Cards are widely accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops, particularly American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa; MasterCard and Visa are the most widely accepted. Electrical Current

The electrical supply in India is 220 Volts.

Time

India has only one time zone which covers the entire country. Indian Standard Time (IST) is 5 hours and 30 minutes ahead of GMT.

Climate

The month of October is characterized by gradually falling daily high temperatures, with daily highs around 30°C throughout the month.

Dress Code

Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Congress functions and programs.

Letter of Invitation

Upon request, the Secretariat of the 10th World Stroke Congress will e-mail a personal invitation to participants.
This invitation is meant only to help visitors to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa, and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support.
Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or Congress to provide any financial as​sistance. If you require an original letter, it is recommended that you send your request well in advance to account for administration time for processing the request and delivery by post. Liability and Insurance

The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participant.
Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Safety and Security

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

As Organizers of the 10th World Stroke Congress taking place in Hyderabad, India from October 26-29 we entrusted TWT srl, Rome, to collect the applications from the Italian Pharmaceutical Companies and file them with the Italian Ministry of Health agency AIFA, in compliance with the instructions given by the Legislative Order 219 of the 24th April 2006 – art. 124. ​
